Granbury, TX, December 30, 2008 – Plane Power, Ltd. Releases new Conversion Kit.
Plane-Power, Ltd. has received STC/PMA approval for it’s new Gear Driven Generator to Alternator Conversion Kit. The newly certifiedER14-50 replaces the existing Generator and Generator Regulator on many Small Block Continental Engine Equipped Aircraft.
Plane-Power ER14-50 alternator kit allows aircraft owners to remove their old, heavy, poor performing generator and replace it with the factory new Plane Power alternator giving them all the benefits of a Plane-Power alternator including:
- High output at low engine RPM’s
- Lighter weight (6.9 lbs.)
- Higher reliability
The ER14-50 Gear Driven Generator to Alternator Conversion Kit uses the existing late-style Continental Drive Gear or the optional Plane Power Gear Assembly model ER14-GR.
Each alternator is precision balanced and feature far tighter component tolerances, and significantly reduced vibration, which greatly extends service life. Plane-Power alternators feature proprietary dual cooling fans allowing the Plane-Power units to run at significantly lower temperatures than generators. Plane-Power alternators also feature built-in noise filtration so no additional external noise filter is required.
Our all new alternator kits are specifically designed for aircraft. Compared to antiquated generators Plane-Power alternators run cooler, perform far more reliably and supply increased power at or below typical cruise engine RPM. We are so confident in our alternators and voltage regulators, that Plane Power supports each one with a limited two-year warranty.
The Plane-Power ER14-50 Gear Driven Generator to Alternator Conversion kit includes a Plane-Power R1224B voltage regulator, Alternator and Hardware.
