Warranty Coverage

Hartzell Engine Tech warranties cover defects in material and workmanship from the date of installation or delivery, whichever occurs first.

Product Type Coverage Period
New & Factory-Rebuilt Accessories (excluding magnetos, includes heaters) 24 months or 1,000 hours
New & FR/HP Magnetos 12 months or 500 hours
Overhauled Accessories (excluding magnetos) 12 months or 1,000 hours
Overhauled Magnetos 12 months or 500 hours

Coverage applies only to the original purchaser and does not include normal maintenance, wear items, or damage caused by misuse or improper installation.

Warranty Claims:


To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Download and complete the RMA Submittal Form.

  2. Include the following information:

    • Proof of purchase and installation or delivery date

    • Product serial number and description of issue

    • Total operating hours at time of failure

  3. Submit the completed form for approval before shipping any product.

All returns must be pre-approved. Hartzell reserves the right to repair, replace, or issue credit at its discretion.
